i love listening to the rain... the rhythm, the sounds...

at this very moment, i have the biggest urge to just go and walk in the rain... to get so completely drenched that it drowns out my thoughts... to hold out my arms and spin around in circles til the world around me melts away...

this weekend was pretty crazy... and the madness began with small group night!

it began innocently enough with our small group going together to watch and cheer for christina, one of our fabulous freshman, in the danceworks performance~ she was awesome! *screaming* go christina! xD afterwards, we walked down to the BART station and while waiting for the BART to come, we instituted "THE ROLLCALL".. roll call! one! two! three! four! five! *pause* siiiiiix~ seven!(i love you, jae! xP) hehe... then, off we went on the BART into the City for our girls nite out! weeee~ we walked to the House of Nanking for some yummie chinese food! yay! time to grub... and grub we did!! we ate like we were being chased by a pack of wild beasts... seven dishes in a matter of minutes... we were seriously in and out of that restaurant in like 15 minutes(especially since no one was talking once the food started coming out! we had no time to talk! we had to eat! eat! eat! my girls~ i'm so proud of them! xD). then we walked back to Union Square to take the cable cars to Ghiradelli Square... where we devoured the Earthquake, also, in a matter of minutes! crajee! oh yea, sidenote, our cable car driver person on the way to Ghiradelli's was sOoOoOOo scary... *shudder* i'm gonna have nightmares because of him! we, then, came back to berkeley and went to piedmont for our sleepover! woo hoo! we ate sOoOOoOOoOOoOOOooOo much all night long... enjoyed each other's company... sang songs... made awards... finally crashing around 5:30am~ at around 9:30am the next morning, i had to leave for church to get to the missions rummage sale... so, i left them all passed out on esther's livingroom floor and went to church...

by the time we got to church, the rummage sale was well on its way(since 6:30am that morning), so we just jumped right in and got working! going through piles of clothes trying to look for the most "sell-able" items to hang up out front, folding clothes, organizing the items on the table, and convincing people that they want to buy the... err... i mean, helping people find things they want... hehehehe... xP we still had tons of stuff by the time we closed shop so we packed them all into large trash bags and took them to good will after we finished cleaning the church... by the time we left church, it was around 5:30pm... long day...

instead of going home, tho, i stayed in SF and hung out with Chris til about 9:00pm... we went to Haight(my first time!) and walked around looking for dresses... i didn't buy anything but chris bought a skirt and a shirt... so sexy~ owwww! xD we wanted to try out this restaurant there but the wait to get a table was an hour and a half so we just went to Irving and ate at Crepevine(we were gonna go sumwhere else on Irving but that place was closed... booo~)... the food was good tho, so no complaints... but it was so strange cuz there were all these ppl there that were dressed up for Prom... i was like, people come here for Prom??? not that there was anything wrong with the place... but yea, it was just strange.

anyway, to keep myself from rambling on any more than i already have, i ended up coming home around 10:30ish because my ride home was detained by the kids gone wild at kcpc(she was helping babysit for the KM revival)... wow~ those kids are realli crazy... i give her mad props for surviving 3 hours with them... i barely made it through the hour! i ended up getting to bed hours later tho... exhausted as i was, i just couldn't fall asleep... too much on my mind...

well, that was my weekend in summary... i think i will hibernate for the next few days to recover...

i am such a sleepy head! i had a lunch date with abe today... i've been making a big fat deal all week about how he better be there on time.. 11am SHARP!! *sigh* lets just say, i'll never know if he was there on time or not cuz i was HALF AN HOUR LATE!!! i woke up to his phone call at 11:10am... he ended up walking half way... ok, maybe half way is an exxaggeration but... he had to walk out to channing to meet me... sad sad sad... abe, i give you permission to use me as a punching bag for a day.

altho it got off to a late start(due to my tardiness... sorrie!), i had a realli good time eating(FRIED RICE!!! YUM!!!) and just chatting with and getting to know a brother in Christ... thanks for letting me pick your brain...

oh WOW~ its almost 4pm... gotta go get ready for small group nite! i'm so excited! yay!

went to SF today with daniel~ had dinner at Cheesecake... yum~ we didn't realli get to do much(we had to come back cuz it started raining), but it was still fun~ thanks for a lovely evening!

i was just TOO drained last nite to actually type more than two sentences... but here are some of the highlights of my yesterday:

- my lunch date with liz!! yay! the crepes were mm~ mm~ good~ it was worth the hike up to northside... hehehe... i can't wait til summer... and our all day long GRUBFESTS~
- smallgroup!! i know that i'm not always so good at expressing it to you guys but i want you to know... I LOVE YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH!!! *muah* thank you for being a part of my life! i can't WAIT for small group nite!! lets have some CRAJEE fun~ weeeeee~ one last thought: princess cow. puhahahahaha~ i'm gonna be laughin about that for a long long time...
- danny yoon's bday bash!! HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY, DANNY!!! yummie cake, awesome company, getting to know and catching up with my lil siblings, two awesome lil brothers(who not only put up with me but continue to show me so much love despite all my shortcomings) to walk me home...
- vent session with abe!! thank you... for being there, for listening, for caring, for making me laugh... basically, for making sure you "keep your punching bag healthy" x)

yes, God isn't through with me yet...

its official... i truly do eat ALOT!! ...enough to get the waitress at Claim Jumper to buy me dessert because "it would just be wrong to not have dessert after a meal like that"... *sigh* ok, so here's the story: hong took me out to dinner tonite(thanks hong!) and we decided on Claim Jumper because i've never been there before. so far so good. we are looking through the menu and hong suggests that i have to get the "Ore Cart" because its my first time and thats what Claim Jumper is famous for(for those who don't know how big that is, trust me, its BIG~). at this point, i have no clue what i'm getting myself into. the waitress politely asks for our orders and i sweetly reply, "i'm going to have the Ore Cart". now here's where things start to get ugly. right as those words come out of my mouth, she gets this look on her face that says she thinks i'm totally psycho... of course, hong is enjoying all this waaaaay too much and can barely contain his laughter til she leaves with our orders. so mean. when the food comes out, i almost have a heart attack at the sheer size of that monster of a meal. hong says there's no way that i can finish it, so, of course, i have to prove him wrong. uh oh. lets just say for the next hour and a half, my mind was focused on one thing and one thing only: must... kill... all... the.... meat!!! i couldn't even carry on a conversation... all i can say was "sorry, i can't think, concentrating on eating"... and, of course, hong was laughing at me the entire time. during that time, the waitress keeps on walking by, staring at me in disbelief at what she is seeing... until finally she comes up to the table and asks me, and only me, if she can please get me some to go boxes. while still biting away at the ribs, i mumble "yes, please" under my breath. then she comes back and asks us if we'd like to have some dessert, and we say "no, just the check will be fine". when she comes back... she has in her hands not only the check, but a plate of their mud pie sundae~ with these words: "you can't just not have dessert after a meal like that! this will be on me!"... then she goes on to tell me how proud she was of me! O.o i seriously wanted to crawl into a hole... but on the bright side, i got free dessert! and it was some gooooooooood ice cream! yay!

WOW~ three nights in a row of NO sleep... but its definitely ALL been worth it!!

today... err... i mean, yesterday, was an AWESOME day!!! i had lunch with edmund, dinner with hong, and a late nite chill session with daniel and john... what more can a girl ask for?? xD


p.s. edmund~ thank you for lunch!!! it was SO yummie! must have been the company! *grin* just so you know, you will NEVER be just a number to me... there's no way! weeeee~ i can't wait to watch them fighting movies! xD

its 4am... and i'm STILL awake!! dang~ its all your fault!!! you know who you are, mister maroonish pink swirl~ kekeke~ v(o';'o)v

today was FUN! thank you, esther, for a lovely date! we had fun shopping in SF~ we had some more first time experiences today, too... yay! what would you do without me to undeprieve you! xD

went to berean tonite... definitely thought provoking...

the rest of the evening was very chill... kristy came over, and is still here at 5am, watching back to the future 1, 2, and 3~ haha... we're so weird!

anyway, its bed time for me~ good night, everyone!

i kno, i kno, its past the bed time i set for myself tonite...

BUT~ i couldn't go to sleep without writing how wonderful a day it has been and how awesome our Lord is!

God has the most wonderful way of bringing immense joy and blessing through the things we so often overlook... a random conversation, a spontaneous visit, an unexpected phone call... a beautiful friendship that grows from these small and simple things...

thank you, Jesus... for your work on the Cross -- your death and resurrection... for all the blessings great and small... may i never cease to be amazed by You!
